Research Thema
Global normal modes in the middle atmosphere
I mainly study characteristics of normal modes using the recentrly available reanalysis dataset JAWARA, which covers the whole middle atmosphere over a long time period. I am interested in the climatology of the normal mode, the relation between the deformation of the normal mode structure and the background condition, and the excitation and/or amplification mechanisms of the normal mode in the middle atmosphere.
Key words
・Middle atmosphere dynamics ・Global normal modes ・JAWARA
