最近ちょっと気になる「あること」について記述した論文をメモっておこうと思う。

No substitute exists for an adequate observing system, and the solution to these uncertainty problem is unambiguous: extension of quantified observing systems to the entire, top-to-bottom, global ocean, and their sustenance into the indefinite future. This challenge is an intergenerational one. Failure to make adequate measurements leads to both irrecoverable scientific loss and the waste of substantial resources.

In retrospect, it is also puzzling that density-active tracers such as T or S would have the same physics as a passive tracer such as 14C.
