• Kido et al. (2016, Climate Dynamics) has been published.

•Richter et al. (2016, World Scientific) has been published.

• A paper (Tozuka et al.) entitled “Locally and remotely forced atmospheric circulation anomalies of Ningaloo Niño/Niña” has been accepted for publication in Climate Dynamics.

• A paper (Kataoka et al.) entitled “On the Ningaloo Niño/Niña” has been accepted for publication in Climate Dynamics. This paper discusses the general mechanism of Ningaloo Niño/Niña. In this paper we have pointed out the existence of the coastal Bjerknes feedback along the ocean eastern boundary for the first time. This feedback is an unstable ocean-atmosphere interaction analogous to the Bjerknes feedback along the equator. Also, Ningaloo Niña is introduced for the first time.

• A paper (Kataoka et al.) entitled “The Indian Ocean subtropical dipole mode simulated in the CMIP3 models” has been accepted for publication in Climate Dynamics. This paper discusses the representation and the mechanism of the IOSD in the CMIP3 models.
